Product Description
Paddy Bedford's paintings are charecterised by vivid and powerful masses. His daring formal langauge evokes the rocks and other amorphous features of the Kimberley landscape. These bold images also reflect the artist's former rough life as a stockman. However, behind his compositions, subtle harmony lurks a learned and poetic knowledge of the land and its creation stories. This book was published for the occasion of his first solo exhibition outside of Australia, in the AAMU Museum of contemporary Aboriginal art in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
