Science

Primary Science is now compulsory in Queensland schools and is expected as part of the implementation process for the Australian National Curriculum guidelines in Science. The teaching of science has many teachers concerned as to the requirements, equipment and covering the curriculum as well as making the children enjoy and build their curiosity. Network Educational Australia will be releasing an updated list of kits to cover the foundation concepts in science as well as lesson guides for these concepts. You will be able to buy the concept kits ie. materials, rocks, and water separately or buy as part of a Grade kit with enough materials to cover the whole class or sections to meet your specific needs. The whole development is science to be fun, encourage curiosity and love of the nature of things whilst building the foundation skills and knowledge needed.

The short answer to a 'qualification' for teaching primary science is - yes you are! Have you witnessed natural phenomena? Are you curious? Can you investigate with the children? Can you organise children into groups? Can you learn as the children explore? The 'knowledge' component follows from the explorer and explains the information but to build these foundation skills and knowledge requires a 'scout leader' rather than Einstein! We can provide the equipment, the lessons and the structure and you are then left to explore with your classes.

If you require any further information - please feel free to contact us at any stage for an update on the product release and also for demonstrations at your school - we look forward to hearing from you.
