Reading LINK tuition centre

Reading LINK Workbooks 1-4This centre is specifically set-up to address reading difficulties. It will have the single purpose of getting students reading and writing fluently as quickly as possible. The Reading LINK program is currently in use across Australia in private and state schools.

Reading LINK accredited centreOver 35,000 students are using or have used the program since starting in 2006. The testimonials and feedback has been predicted with a lot of students now mastering the most important skill learnt at school – reading! The content was developed by Professor Carol Christensen at the University of Queensland. We are now embarking on a plan to offer students direct access to the program and not through accredited teachers in schools.

Tuition will be in small groups or for individuals. The program will be taken by trained and experienced teachers using the Reading LINK methodology. Groups will be formed based on age ranges. We will be catering for K-12 in age range.

Initially, the student will be tested and so the correct placement in the program for them can be ascertained. From this a specific program will be outlined and classes will usually run twice weekly. Booking in advance will be essential.

Students will need a set of workbooks and cards which form the instruction materials. Progress will be monitored weekly and parents will be kept informed of progress and likely follow up activities.

Reading difficulties and levels catered for will include:

  • dyslexia
  • word difficulties
  • chronic problems
  • slow readers and those lacking fluency
  • and other difficulties with reading

Generally, you could expect to see substantial improvement within four weeks with the student quickly gaining in confidence and growing in reading skills. If this is not taking place, you are free to withdraw from the program, no obligation required!

The first stage is an obligation-free test of your child's reading level and to ascertain if we can help.
