What are Take Home Readers? Take Home Readers packs have been gaining in popularity as reading fluency is understood as the big issue to address not interest! The student will gravitate towards images and graphics which are attractive - this hinders fluency! It is essential to start where the student is competent and confident ie. fluent not just interest!  They will enjoy the satisfaction of achieving fluency and this will be part of the positive feedback loop which will propel the student forward in seeking to read further! Our levelling is based on Dame Marie Clay's Reading Recovery levelling of books. This means the student starts at Level 1 and progresses to Level 30 by which time it is a fairly comprehensive level which indicates an independent reader.

Discount Pricing Our pricing is usually 30-40% off retail price for each book! How is this done? We buy pallets and pallets of readers from the top educational publishers supplying their latest publications not 'remainders'!  We do not include remainders in these packs! These are then split up into bundles of an assortment of genres and reading experiences and publishers - based on the same reading recovery level. We sell them in convenient packs of 10, 20 and also multi-level packs for a mixed level group. Review our subject packs which can provide content suitable for learning support in secondary schools
