Educational Publishing Australia Awards 2023 Winner in the Student Resource category!

We are proud to announce that both the History of the First Australians Set 5 and Walkabout Wellbeing Cards have been recognised in the 2023 Australian Educational Publishing Awards!

History of the First Australians Set 5 was 'highly commended' in the Student Resource – English (Literacy/Literature/Language) category. We are pleased to see such wonderful recognition from such a prestigious organisation. Every year the best of the best in Australian educational publishing compete for these awards so we feel very honoured to be nominated in two categories. History of the First Australians is an ongoing series with continued involvement of Indigenous writers, content experts, and illustrators. There are now 100 readers in the series covering music, art, dance, astronomy, migrations, walkabout and yarn circles with many more topics.

Trevor Fourmile's Walkabout Wellbeing Activity Cards won in the Student Resource – Arts/Science/Humanities/Social Sciences/Technologies/Health and Physical Education category. Walkabout Wellbeing Activity Cards is a major work and translates the ancient custom of walkabout to a modern context as a form of therapy for young people to achieve peace, harmony, and well-being through practising some of these old customs. The combination of simple accessible activities with breathtaking art makes these a joy simply to flip through. This work from Trevor Fourmile is supported by a Teacher Resource by Sharlene Coombs.
